WINSTEAD TEASES “A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD” WITH RELEASE OF NEW TRAILER

Five years ago, after a 12 year hiatus from the character, Bruce Willis revived what is without question one of the greatest movie action heroes ever, John McClane, in Live Free or Die Hard where he had to take down an Internet hacker mastermind, played by Timothy Olyphant, who has also captured McClane’s daughter, Lucy, played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Another five years later, he’s back in A Good Day to Die Hard, in theaters February 14, 2013.

While promoting her upcoming movie Smashed this week in Los Angeles, Winstead said what she could about the new movie and her time on-set.

In the latest movie, we meet Lucy’s brother and McClane’s son, John Jr., played by ”Spartacus: Vengeance” star Jai Courtney.  The two McClane’s take on Russians forces in this fifth movie in the franchise, and we get a taste of the action in the brand new trailer.  Exciting and adrenaline-packed, the preview is geniously set to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D Minor (performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Raymond Leppard & The Ambrosian Singers), the trailer ending with the only bit of dialogue throughout, a bit of tribute to another classic movie hero.

A Good Day to Die Hard also stars Amaury Nolasco, Cole Hauser and Sebastian Koch.
