There are few things more synonymous with Fall than the leaves changing colors, the weather getting cooler, and the return of professional football. And one network has been making the game exciting to watch well before the first kickoff by putting one of country music’s biggest, and hottest stars out front – everyone knows NBC’s Sunday Night Football and everyone knows Grammy® winner Faith Hill will be there to welcome you to the game.
First broadcast in 2006 on NBC, Sunday Night Football has become a staple in millions of households, with Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth joining us in our living room every week. But nothing about the show has seen more cheers and jeers than the opening number performed by Faith Hill. Even the peacock’s own Saturday Night Live had fun with the upbeat anthem we all know so well.
As Sunday Night Football makes it’s return to NBC for the season, so do Faith Hill and several of the NFL’s top players in the famous intro. The Seven Sees has your behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to bring the musical opening to life, and what it means to the players to take the field on national television.
