Spielberg Jackson Panel COMIC CON: SPIELBERG TALKS TINTIN AND JURASSIC PARK 4

It may be surprising to learn that Steven Spielberg just made his first ever appearance at Comic-Con, and he did so to an enthusiastic crowd.  The Oscar® winning director was at the convention to show off his latest movie, “The Adventures of Tintin.”  But Spielberg also took care of business on another film, addressing rumblings of another installment in the “Jurassic Park” franchise.  He told the Comic-Con crowd that he does have a story and screenwriter to put together a fourth movie, and we could expect to see something in about 2-3 years.

And despite being in the middle of an extensive filming process for both parts of “The Hobbit,” Peter Jackson, who serves as producer on ‘Tintin’ with Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy, also made his way to San Diego.  As Spielberg explains, the two came to work together on this movie after meeting in front of millions of people.

For Jackson, the appeal of Tintin goes back to his childhood and, as you’ll hear him tell it, the adventurous side of this story and these characters cross generations.
