“THE AVENGERS” SMASHES BOX OFFICE, PLEASES FANS

Marvel's The Avengers was a culmination of years of planning and production by Marvel Studios, and it's opening weekend proved the work was well worth it with the movie easily taking the top spot at the box office with $200.3 million - the biggest domestic opening weekend ever.
