When the Fox hit show “Glee” premieres this Thursday, September 13th at 9pm (note the new night and time – set your DVR, kids), things will look a lot different. Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) is now in New York City following graduation attending NYADA, and the ones still in Ohio are trying to fill her place in New Directions.
So, what better way to fill her shoes than with a little performance, Carly Rae Jepsen style. In the show’s cover of “Call Me Maybe,” Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), Brittany (Heather Morris), Blaine (Darren Criss) and Wade (The Glee Project‘s Alex Newell) plead with Artie (Kevin McHale) – who appears to be their judge – to “Call Me Maybe.”
In another preview clip, we get to see Rachel at NYADA. The once star student is now the timid newbie, frightened out of her mind watching her new dance instructor – Cassandra July (Kate Hudson) – perform a mash-up of Lady Gaga’s “Americano” with Jennifer Lopez’s “Danca Again.” Hudson recently described Cassandra as a “nasty, fun character,” and it’s evident as she lays on the sexy and sensual moves reminiscent of her work in Rob Marshall’s Nine.
If you’re aching for more, here are two promos that give a little glimpse into the season four premiere, which includes new mom Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), Kurt’s post-high school endeavors and some shirtless guy who’s clearly going to be a love interest for someone.
